Vault syncing goes back to system-level Syncthing, so the Obsidian Sync subsystem leaves the repo entirely — no direct replacement inside Cumulus for now:

  • The nine obsidian-* services, the x-obsidian-* anchors, and the obsidian-headless-state volume are gone from all three host compose files (each validated with docker compose config).
  • obsidian-sync/ (the unofficial headless-client image: Dockerfile + entrypoint, including the login-backoff fix from #60) is deleted.
  • .env.example drops the OBSIDIAN_* block; the README drops the per-host table rows, the whole Headless Obsidian Sync section, and gains one line stating vault syncing is host-level Syncthing, deliberately outside this stack.

Two pieces of per-host cleanup this leaves behind: the obsidian-headless-state volumes and the OBSIDIAN_* lines in the hosts' .env files.
